This is Maeve writing.

A few days ago we went to a very fun park.  The way there was muddy, but the park was so fun we liked it anyway. Unfortunately, we can't find the way there anymore.
There was a trapeze. There were lots of ways to get up onto a red net. Sophia said they were easy, medium, hard, and impossible. She did the impossible. I started it, but I didn't go all the way.
There was a thin rope net, that went up onto a platform. There was a ladder that went up onto another platform above the first. From the second platform was a short metal tube slide. There was another ladder that went up onto a third platform. From the third platform was a long, curly metal slide.
There was a swing. It was a circle. Around the edge was a rope. Hanging down from the rope was a plastic net. It went like an ordinary swing, not in a circle like a tire swing. That's all I can think of about the swing.
There were two scoops. They had a seat, and you moved two bars to control the scoop. They were metal, and parts were painted red.
There were also some slides and ladders for younger children about Brigid's age.

It was the most fun park ever!

[EDIT -- Sophia writing]

We finally rediscovered what Brigid calls "the saving-for-later playground". Turns out, it is the "Adventure Playground" of a Fun Park. (10 pounds admission for Mommy and the girls.) Oh--so that fence was trying to keep people out? Who would have guessed?

  1. Maeve, it sounds like a great park. I hope you find your way back sometime and can take some pictures. I love you!

  2. Maeve, You write so well that you make me want to come play in your park. How are the sleeping arrangements working out. Are you and Brigid sharing a room? I'm sure she'll feel much better if she is near you.

Please write again soon. Give Brigid a kiss for us.

    Love you,
    Gramma
